This is a recording of a DJ set that occured in Asagaya around Autumn 2025. I recorded it using a Sony WM-D6C onto RTM C90 Type I cassettes from the DJ deck RCA master output.

That tape recorder comes with two settings for noise reduction but I left them disabled for the recording to get a vintage sound on the recording. The result is some nice sounding compression as the signal was slightly overdriven. Overall the audio profile of the recording is quite dark due to the tape cutting out many of the bright sounds.

The first hour of the audio is my own performance, and the first three tracks that play are my own.

The album Contracts was the result of a collaboration with the artist Wei.

We aimed to establish a sinister, ambient soundscape.

The primary synth I used for this was a Korg Triton - specifically its percussion and sound effect patches.

There is a secret track at the end of the track Contracts.

This album is a collection of drum and bass music with an ambient style.

I had some a capella samples I wanted to use for a song, as well as the desire to use the Apache instrumental break for the first time. These formed the basis of the track Black Cell.

The sound of Cirrostratus was aiming to be a rolling drum and bass track. The long phasing pad is the primary element of this track and I built everything else around it. I also wanted to experiment with chopping different breaks in one track.

The basis of the track Chopper was as a study of cutting up multiple breaks while maintaining tension and groove. The sparser elements and lack of a pad give the drum breaks greater presence in the song. On top of these, percussion is used to keep the song interesting for the listener.

The track Information Overload was the result of listening to a lot of music on the label 720 Degrees at the time. Their style of drum and bass has a futuristic sound with heavy usage of E-mu Systems ROMpler synths. To achieve this sound I used a software version of the E-mu synths called Emulator III.
